Tasha Thompson, LMT

Tasha is a 2003 graduate of Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage (OSTM) in Syracuse. She has extensive experience in a variety of massage settings, including private practice, chiropractic and clinical offices, spas, and salons. Tasha is also a dual-certified NYS educator who greatly values continuing education. Since graduating from OSTM, she has taken classes in many techniques and modalities such as medical, therapeutic, deep tissue, and prenatal massage; injury and accident treatment and recovery; reflexology, essential oils, and massage for PTSD. She has also studied Reiki and is a certified Level 2 Practitioner. Tasha strives to listen carefully to each patient, develop a treatment plan to meet their individual needs, and provides post treatment suggestions to help keep you pain free and optimize your sessions. She uses a variety of techniques during each session; therefore, no two sessions are exactly alike. Tasha believes the body has an innate ability to heal itself and she is grateful to be an impetus for that healing. Although the majority of her treatments are therapeutic in nature, she is also available for a relaxing Swedish or Reiki session.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation, No-Show, Late Arrival, and Credit Card on File Policies Introduction: I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. When you book an appointment, that time is reserved specifically for you. Missed appointments are costly in lost time and revenue and prevents me from providing services to others. I am committed to providing exceptional therapy and service to all of my patients while still maintaining a successful, small business. In order to achieve this balance, the following established policies regarding last minute cancellations and no-shows are honored: Credit Card on File: A valid credit or debit card must be provided to schedule an appointment. All new patients must also remit a non-refundable deposit via credit or debit to secure their appointment. The amount of the non-refundable deposit is dependent on the service and is listed on the service options page. No credit card data is stored inside Gloss Genius, the scheduling system. Gloss Genius creates a token that can be used to reference the information that is input, but the actual, sensitive data is stored within the payment solution partner, Stripe, who holds the highest security certification in the industry. Gloss Genius is PCI compliant. Definitions: Last minute cancellations: A cancellation made within 24 hours of the appointment time. No-show: A patient who either forgets or consciously chooses to not arrive for their scheduled appointment and does not provide any prior notice or contact. Late arrival: A patient who arrives more than 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. Details: Fees: Cancellations made 24 hours before the appointment time will not be subjected to a cancellation fee, unless abuse of this policy occurs. Last minute cancellations and no- shows may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the service (less any deposit already received). The card on file will be used to reconcile this fee. An additional fee of 3.5% will be charged for a card processing fee. Rescheduling: A patient may reschedule a last minute canceled appointment one time without incurring the cancellation fee. The cancellation of the rescheduled appointment may be subject to the cancellation fee. A rescheduled appointment for a no-show may require non-refundable pre-payment of the entire service. Case-By-Case Waiver: I understand that emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances can occur. In such cases, I may waive the last minute cancellation or no-show fee. Be sure to contact me to discuss your situation, preferably within 24 hours. Late Arrival: Although I will not be able to provide the full session time allotted for the treatment booked, I will do my best to provide the patient with as much time as allowed in my schedule. Full payment will still be required, regardless of the length of actual treatment given after late arrival. Responsibilities: Patient Responsibility: Patients are responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the policies outlined above, including the requirement to have a valid credit or debit card on file and to keep the card current/updated. An appointment request will be considered an agreement to the policies set forth. Therapist Responsibility: The therapist is committed to implementing this policy with professionalism and empathy. I will make every effort to assist patients in rescheduling their appointments, addressing any concerns, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Review and Retention: Tasha Thompson, LMT reserves the right to review this policy as needed to maintain fairness and consistency.
